There has been one designer (apart from Isabel Marant who I am always obsessed with)… but one new love designer that I have been obsessing over the collections – Chloe.
Everything Clare Waight Keller does seems to be sprinkled with fairy dust – I want everything from the Fall ’15 collection. Not that my bank manager would allow it so I have been keeping my eyes open for the best Chloe-esque pieces on the highstreet like the Zara clutch I instagrammed earlier in the week. Granted not a patch on the original designs but at £35.99 you can’t complain. Have a look at the Fall-Winter campaign shots – do you not just want to dive in and be these girls?! Oh to live in the world of Chloe…
Inject a little bit of the Chloe life into your world… heaven!

Whilst I might not wear heels as much as I used to pre-child there are some days and indeed outfits that call for nothing less than a pair of heels. Leg lengthening, stylish heels. And this seasons block heel is in-fact a mothers best friend, comfortable and stylish.
One of the first designers to bring the block heel to the forefront of the catwalks was Isabel Marant (every collection of hers is just divine and perfect mum uniform) with her Carol studded sandals. They have sold out almost everywhere and have a huge hefty price tag but I regularly check Vestaire Collective for the perfect size 41 in brown… not yet to be found unfortunately. This is a site I would highly recommend for any designer purchases, all second hand, the pieces are sold by the owners but shipped to the Vestaire offices to be authenticated before then shipping onto you so you can be certain what you’re buying is the real deal.
I am not a fan of fakes but designs in the same style definitely have a place in my wardrobe edit and these beauties from Milanoo have a friendly price tag and look gorgeous.
These highstreet block heel buys have all been eyeing me up (yes that’s right not the other way around – I am the innocent shopper) as I walk by the shops, I am yet to decide which ones to purchase but let me know your favourites, would love your help to choose. I think the Office Whisper Mule is winning so far but I just love brown suede on summer skin – the Office Woodstock would look so good with a tan…
Reiss Block Heel
And here is how I’ll wear mine… happy styling!
Just as the Carpenters sang, rainy days and Mondays always get me down. But nothing a good outfit can’t remedy! Summer rain can be notoriously hard to dress for, there is a fine balance between looking like you’re off to sea in a bright yellow mac and wellington boots – and looking like you’re a teenager at a wet and muddy music festival. Strong basics are the key to a stress free rain look. Swap sandals for espadrilles or this seasons fashion trainers, and swap the cardigan for a stylish trench. There are some great sale buys to be had right now on trench coats and I strongly believe they are an investment item you will wear year after year. Hope these little sale buys will brighten up this wet and rainy Monday…
Rag and Bone leather trimmed trench – 70% off – was £695 now £208.50
Michael Kors trench – 70% off – was £1825 now £547.50
ASOS trench cape – was £75 now £37.50
And here is how to wear them…
And for the mini-me version…
Please leave comments if you have time, love to hear your feedback thank you so much!
Becoming a Mother does not mean you have to have a personality edit… but it does call for a wardrobe edit.
The tight pencil skirts and towering heels are best kept for date nights and instead I have welcomed with open arms the seasons block heels, Aquazurra style flats, a lot of hard wearing denim (must be soft) in the form of cut-offs, ripped jeans and seventies a-line skirts. Striped shirts worn oversized hide a multitude of sins and ‘statement’ tops give an allure of style even if you’ve chucked on yesterdays look from the bedroom floor.
Add a mani pedi, preferably done at the weekend whilst the little people are on ‘dad-time’ and you can pop to the local salon, and ta-da your look is complete!
