Wedding season is most definitely upon us and with the weather keeping us on our toes its tricky to find the right outfit.
When it comes to choosing an outfit myself I love wearing maxi dresses to weddings… with a midi heel so I can be comfortable the whole day and night. I think with a maxi you can get away with flats too. And the same goes with the opposite – a mini dress and flats looks amazing.
I also prefer my upper arms to be covered, just feels a bit more ‘wedding-y’ if thats makes sense. More covered up. At least until party-time. So if I wear a strappy dress I’ll pair with a little jacket or a sequin cardigan.
If you’re wearing a subtle ditsy floral dress – play with those opposites and add a modern glitzy pair of shoes and bag. Or wearing a very feminine ruffly dress – throw over an oversized blazer and chunky shoes. Weather chilly – wear boots rather than sandals. Ankle or knee length – both look amazing with midi-maxi dresses.
