It’s that time of year… party season… and that means sequin season! Time to decorate yourself in as much shimmering clothing as possible. I have to admit I am partial to wearing sequins year round but this time of year I wouldn’t think twice. I am all for sparkle everywhere, makeup, hair, handbag, shoes…
I think this dress actually winked at me when I saw it hanging in Debenhams. Walking around the party wear was like walking into Studio 54. All the cool seventies vibes I just wanted to drape myself in the glamour of it all.
This dress though – its Studio by Preen and fits like a sparkly glove. The asymmetric hem, the elegance of the one long arm and the big black sequins covering every inch of it. I paired it with these silver sequin boots by Faith which I was very pleased to find how comfy they were. Incredibly important when you plan to be on the dance floor until the early hours.
Then continuing with the asymmetric theme I found these incredible earrings by Mathew Williamson. I love the moon and star combo. Add a huge faux fur (I have this dark turquoise one by Red Herring and its so soft) …and I am ready to go out-out!
