It does seem rather trivial writing a shopping post on such a historical day – but my little website has always been my outlet, my place to come and write about things that make me happy… fun lighthearted topics, my life edited for you to see.
So… back to serious things… what I bought this week. Surely shopping is helping the economy anyway right?!
There are sales everywhere, annoying when you have just bought a load of summer pieces and then they’re swiftly reduced to half price but great for anyone still on the look out for some Summery wardrobe updates. And the perfect Summer print – gingham. Think picnics and pretty dresses then give it a modern twist with a a pair of shorts or a structured cropped blouse. These Mango pieces I have been wearing are so easy to pair with denim and neutrals.
Want to cheer yourself up from all the doom and gloom in the press right now – add some silk and lace and wear with a denim jacket for paired down daytime glamour.
Nothing more classic than a striped shirt, dress up or down, loose or fitted. Red stripes have been seen across all the highstreet stores this Summer and this one is from Primark – a snip at £10. Can’t face the highstreet – both Zara and Mango have their own versions online.
And then the ultimate in comfort – a big baggy playsuit. This Mango one I wrote about here has these super cute little tie straps which I love.
And finally – this little gold disc necklace is stamped with ‘MAMA’ and you can add a star, heart or an initial. Such a good price it would make a great gift for a new mum or even mum-to-be.
Thank you so much for reading.
