The Shopping Edit: Friday Confessional

Happy Friday ladies!

Another week another confession…

So this week mini V has had her Summer wardrobe updated in preparation for our little family holiday next month. The Zara Artisan collection, and H&M came up trumps, such beautiful designs at great prices. Then a quick trip to Sainsburys yesterday saw her bag a few more Summer accessories from TU, including a super cute wide-brim straw hat she insisted on wearing the entire supermarket trip.

As for me, I kept it basic and Summer-ready…

Black Jeans

I have actually bought these jeans before… loved them but they didn’t last long. They’re body shaping which i think means they are packed full of elastic to make them ‘hug your contours’ which is fab at first but at just £22.99 the elastic gave way and left a bit of a baggy mess. I have tried others but relented and have bought the same ones again as when they’re intact they are really lovely. I like buying them loose and wearing them with a roll on the ankle.

Beach Bag

Another addition to the ‘Summer Box’ is this gorgeously soft oversized beach bag from Zara. I also usually use my beach bag as my ‘baby bag’ on the flight to stop it getting flattened in the suitcase.

Striped t-shirt

This little stripy number is a new addition to the growing stipe collection I have going on and perfect to layer with a cardigan and jacket in this funny weather we have at the moment. More expensive than my usual H&M updates but its a thicker cotton so you don’t have to worry about any unwanted sheerness.

Makeup

I wrote about the Charlotte Tilbury makeover I had here a while ago and the products have lasted really well. The eyebrow pencil was on its last twist and this has been an everyday essential for me, I feel naked without my eyebrows, so I knew I wanted to re-purchase. Thinking about the makeover made me realise how old the mascara I was using actually was so I picked up another one at the same time. The pencil I use is called Cara D and it’s the darkest of their shades.

Mascara

I would also highly recommend the Sculpt & Highlight compact here – pricey at £49 but it lasts forever, is great to pop in your handbag for touch-ups and it is so good at giving your face that added glow and real definition.

And there you have it. Thank you so much for reading. Have you bought anything fabulous you can share this week? Love to hear from you.

Thank you,

Vx

It took me all of about 10 seconds to be sold on the Zara bag even though I su combed earlier in the week to a stripy H&M beach bag – I couldn’t resist it though!

No I haven’t, thanks Sophie will definitely give them a try next time. Probably sooner than I’d like judging by how long the Zara ones lasted before xxx
